Paint 757 Purple Mural Unveiling Party

October 17, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and local businesses all across Hampton Roads are taking a stand with Samaritan House to #Paint757Purple and commit to helping end violence in our community.Join us as we celebrate local artist, Devon Miller, as we unveil her final creation of the first ever Paint 757 Purple mural! This art piece is a symbol of hope, strength and unity for survivors of violence.
This event is FREE and open to the public! Stop by between 5-7 to check out the unique space that The Annex – Collaborative Studio offers, take a photo in front of the mural, and meet some of our ViBe district business owners. There will be some great raffle prizes to support Samaritan House as well!
Violence is a weed that thrives in silence. It is our hope that with the Paint 757 Purple partnerships, the awareness and recognition in our community about what resources are available to someone experiencing violence will also be strengthened. As a very special element to this mural, the local crisis hotline will be featured, making this number more accessible to those who may need it: 757-251-0144.
Learn more about how to get involved and support our local businesses at www.paint757purple.com.
