At Organic Beginnings Montessori School, our mission is to gently guide each child through his independent process of self-creation in a beautiful and organic environment, alongside multi-aged peers, gaining real-life experiences that encompass fulfillment, freedom and responsibility. It is important for children to experience the whole cycle of life, from seed to harvest — or from egg to maturity. We learn how to plant, tend, harvest and prepare the food we eat. Caring for plants gives the children a sense of responsibility and allows them to practice compassion on a daily basis. All the while, the children have a daily curriculum which promotes hands-on, self-paced, collaborative, joyful learning.
