Old Beach Farmers Market will be collecting hard food goods every Saturday for The Jcoc in Virginia Beach from June 9th till July 7th.
Please drop all food donations at the information booth inside The Farm Market behind Crocs.
A note from The Jcoc “Each year more than 1,000 children and their families benefit from JCOC’s Family Food Box Program. We need your help! Our inventory of nonperishable food is unusually low right now. Please look at the list below, pick up a few items”
If you can’t stop by, please make a donation online at www.jcoc.org today! Thank you for continuing to help us feed the hungry and break the cycle of homelessness in Virginia Beach.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
As a Virginia Beach native, I draw heavily on influences from the ocean, surrounding water ways and my family. As a child, I dreamed of being a mermaid and having adventures under the sea. The ocean is a place where you can escape, art is means of escaping. The bright and vivid colors are meant to invoke feelings of happiness and a sense of wonder. Attention to certain details are to bring you further into the scene, inviting you to take your own adventure. By recognizing the beauty and wonder of the ocean and all the creatures that dwell within, hopefully my work can help to raise awareness of how important it is to protect them for the future.
Public art projects in the ViBe Creative District are generously supported by the City of Virginia Beach Office of Cultural Affairs / Virginia Beach Arts, Virginia Commission for the Arts, Business Consortium for Arts Support and private donations. ViBe would like to thank the Virginia Beach City Government for their support with temporary road closures to allow these public art projects.
